What this is

FreshSky Local File Tools is a free public project from Fresh Sky LLC. It provides focused PDF, image, OCR, metadata, redaction, and comparison tools without requiring an account.

How it works

Your browser opens the file in its own memory and performs the requested operation on your device. The application downloads its processing code from this FreshSky site, but it does not send the contents, filename, extracted text, fingerprint, preview, or result back to FreshSky.

What “offline-ready” means

After the application shell and the processing assets for a tool have loaded successfully, a service worker can reuse those application assets from your browser cache. You can disconnect before selecting a sensitive file. OCR language packs must finish loading once before that language works offline.

Honest limits

Browser processing uses your device’s memory. Large or damaged files may fail. Rasterized compression and permanent redaction intentionally remove selectable text, links, forms, layers, and accessibility tags. Always keep the original and review important output before sharing it.
